Illness hits updates

REGULAR visitors to the web site will have noticed the absence of updates over the past two months. Unfortunately illness and the need for an operation in February has made it impossible to maintain ‘normal’ service.

Recovery is taking longer than anticipated, but it is hoped to resume production of the magazine and web site updating later this month.

Archive site

MORE than 40 new book reviews will be uploaded to the the Archive site in late April and further improvements/additions will be made during the year. To check it out click HERE

December Magazine

THE December issue of Trains On-line Magazine was uploaded to the web site on November 30. It includes a four-page spread on Aberdour, a Scottish mainline station that has much to offer the modeller, plus all our regular news and features.

New book reviews

FOUR new book reviews were added to the site on November 23, together with all the remaining exhibition dates for December 2007. Full reviews of the books can be found in the December issue of the magazine.

Major site revisions completed

A SERIES of revisions and updates was carried out on 5 September 2007 with the aim of both improving and increasing the content on the site.

A number of pages that had remained dormant for some time now have content. These include Echoes of the Past and Book Reviews. In addition, Showstoppers 3 benefits from the inclusion of eight exhibition layouts with a Scottish theme. The Links page is also active.

About us...

SINCE its launch in October 2003, the site has been steadily improved. The content of the site and its appearance has been revised several times to improve access. Further improvements are planned for the coming months.

These changes are aimed at ensuring the site provides the best and most comprehensive on-line magazine for modellers whose primary interest is in recreating the British railways scene, from Pre-Grouping days to the present.

Its wide range of news items and feature articles will help YOU keep up with the latest and best on the OO/EM/P4 scene, so don't forget to BOOKMARK this site.

The FREE downloadable magazine remains central to the site's approach.

N.B. While most of the site's pages are accessible using your ordinary web browser, you will need to install a FREE copy of Adobe Reader to view, or download, the Trains On-line Magazine itself.
